140 New Tasers For Thames Valley Police

Thames Valley Police, the local force for Milton Keynes, has received Government funding for 140 new tasers.

The Home Office announced the additional £115,000 for TVP which is from a £10m ring fenced pot of centrally funded money for the equipment.

A Flipping Fantastic Pancake Day In Olney

Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, had a 'flipping fantastic' Pancake Day at the historic Olney Pancake Race event.

Ben started three of the children's races by saying the traditional words "toss your pancakes, are you ready?" and ringing the Pancake Bell.

£86,412 For MK Council To Fund Domestic Abuse Refuge Services

Milton Keynes Council has been given £86,412 by the Government to to help fund domestic abuse refuge services in the town.

The money will enable victims and their children to stay safe, recover from the trauma, and access safe permanent rehousing where needed.

Hanslope Post Office To Re-Open

The Post Office in Hanslope is set to re-open in April.

Ben commented, "The Post Office has reassured me they will be re-opening their Hanslope branch. I'm pleased with this outcome after a number of constituents raised their concerns with me about the recent closure."

Appointed to the Housing, Communities & Local Government Select Committee

Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, has been appointed onto the Housing, Communities and Local Government Select Committee.

Every Government department has a select committee consisting of 11 backbench MPs who examine and report on spending, policies and administration.
