Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, linked local business Zess up with the MK Food Bank to help get nutritious food out to local hostels.
Zess contacted Ben to find out how they could help the local community by supplying fresh food and after connecting the two Ben joined Zess to deliver the supplies to the Food Bank.
Zess is a start-up company that allows people with allergy to find local restaurants that can safely accommodate their dietary needs. They have recently been donating multiple bags full of food to help the local community during trying times.
They donated 3 shipments worth of food over the course of the week.
Ben said: “I was pleased to be able to help the fantastic guys at Zess and link them up with the MK Food Bank Xtra to provide healthy, nutritional food to hostels during the pandemic.
“It’s fantastic to see small businesses really getting involved in supporting local communities and those in need at this difficult time.”
