National Living Wage Rise To Benefit MK Workers

Workers in Milton Keynes are set for a well-earned pay rise in April as the National Living Wage increases to £8.72 an hour.

The increase means that since the Conservatives came into power in 2010 the average income after tax will have risen by over £5,260 for the lowest paid workers.

Milton Keynes MPs To Request A Forensic Focus On Knife Crime

City MPs Iain Stewart and Ben Everitt have joined with local Conservative Councillors to call on a more concentrated focus from Thames Valley Police on the rise in knife crime in Milton Keynes.

The move comes following a fatal stabbing over the Christmas period in Oxley Park.
