St Paul's Catholic School, representing Milton Keynes South, and Oakgrove School, representing Milton Keynes North, will compete in Westminster in the final of the 2021 Parliamentary Schools Debate Competition.
This is the 13th year of the competition which is run by the Milton Keynes MPs for all secondary schools across the city, with St Paul's coming out on top against Ousedale in 2020.
And after victory in a hotly-contested debate with The Hazeley Academy, St Paul's will be hoping to retain their crown at the final which is being hosted in Parliament. They will face Oakgrove who have beaten Ousedale School to reach this stage.
Making the tough decisions in the competition have been judges from the Open University, the Milton Keynes Youth Cabinet, the Milton Keynes Chamber of Commerce and the Milton Keynes Business Council.
The Milton Keynes MPs would like to thank all schools that have taken part in this year's competition which has seen some lively debates, with decisive interventions and quick thinking for answers on topics from the environment, to ethics in trade deals, to a Scottish independence referendum.
