Cultural institutions in Milton Keynes North are set to benefit from £746,255 worth of funding from the Culture Recovery Fund.
MK Gallery will receive a quarter of a million pounds to support them through coronavirus, while award winning local live music venue The Craufurd Arms is getting more than £100,000 in support.
MK Museum, Local Media Initiatives CIC, Wellbeing Fitness and Leisure Community Trust Limited and dance organisation MÓTUS will also be receiving funding.
The first tranche of this funding has been administered by Arts Council England as part of a £257 million into venues announced today (12th October).
Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, commented: “This is fantastic news for our wonderful local venues.
“I’ve had the pleasure of visiting some of these fantastic MK institutions already, including the brilliant MK Museum earlier this year, and I’m looking forward to visiting even more in the future.
“I understand how difficult it’s been for cultural institutions this year and they’ve done a fantastic job coping with the pandemic so I’m really pleased they will be receiving this vital funding.”
