Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, was quizzed by students at Haversham Village School this morning (07/05) on all things from his dream job as a child and his favourite animal to the environment and space.
The local school took part in an Education and Engagement Digital Workshop which teaches young people about the workings of Parliament - including the House of Commons, how Bills are passed and Royal Assent - with a Q&A slot with their local MP at the end.
Ben spoke to the class of 9 and 10 year olds about the importance of planting more trees and reducing the amount of carbon to be friendlier to the planet and protect future generations and spoke about his role in the Parliamentary Space Committee which will help the UK become a space superpower with new space ports for space launches.
One of the students also asked Ben to come and visit the school once coronavirus restrictions were eased so they could ask even more questions.
Ben was also asked about his dream job as a child, what he would be doing if he wasn't an MP, his proudest role in Parliament so far and his views on smoking.
