Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, has backed a campaign calling for the Government's proposed ban on conversion therapy to be trans-inclusive.
The campaign is led by the group Ban Conversion Therapy which aims to ensure no-one is left behind in the Conversion Therapy Bill which was announced in today's Queen's Speech.
The Government has confirmed it recognises the complexity of issues and need for further careful thought, and that it will carry out separate work to consider the issue of Transgender Conversion Therapy further.
Ben Everitt MP said: "Conversion therapy is absolutely abhorrent and we need to ensure the ban is trans-inclusive. I am standing with the LGBTQ+ community."
