More than 57,345 people have been given at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine across Miton Keynes, it has been announced.
The latest figures, published on Thursday (25/02), include all vaccines given by the Milton Keynes CCG up to Sunday 21st February.
There have also been over 3,252 second doses of the vaccine administered in MK so far.
Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, commented: "This is fantastic news. The progress on vaccines in Milton Keynes and across the country is not only helping to save lives but also allowed the Prime Minister to layout a roadmap back to normality."
Today the JCVI announced the priority groups for the vaccine will continue to be based on age groups as this is what will help save the most lives and how the vaccine programme has been as successful as it has so far.
Once the Over 50s are vaccinated by the Government's target date of 15th April, the rollout will then continue with 40-49 year olds, 30-39 year olds and finally 18-29 year olds, with the hope every adult will be offered a dose by 31st July.
