Ben Everitt MP has shared his delighted after more than 93% of people aged 50 or over in Milton Keynes have received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
The weekly statistics released by the NHS today show that figure increases to 97% for over 60s with 128,893 jabs, including second doses, being administered by Milton Keynes CCG so far.
That's an increase of 16,675 vaccines over the course of the week from 21st March - 28th March with 18,028 people in MK having received both doses of the vaccine so far.
Ben commented: "It's brilliant to see the UK's vaccine programme is continuing to make great strides in protecting the most vulnerable people in Milton Keynes.
"We're already seeing the impact the vaccine is having on reducing hospitalisations and deaths and this has allowed us to begin the first phases of the Prime Minister's roadmap.
"It's vital that when it's your turn you get your vaccine - together we can beat this pandemic and get our lives back to normal.
