The successful vaccine rollout is continuing in Milton Keynes with almost 79% of over 65s having now had BOTH doses of the COVID vaccine.
The total number of second doses now adminstered across MK stands at 50,278, as of the most recent data which covers the period up to 2nd May.
First doses continue to be offered to groups further down the priority list with 95% of over 45s having received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine in Milton Keynes
And the figure across the East Of England, which MK is included in for health data, has now smashed the 5 million mark for total doses received.
There have been 178,825 vaccines across Milton Keynes in total since the beginning of the rollout in December.
Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, commented: "It's brilliant to see the rollout of both first and second doses of the vaccine is continuing at a good speed.
"We know vaccines are our way out of the pandemic and our route back to normality. I've booked mine and I'd encourage everybody to do the same when they get the call (or text)!"
